This privacy policy explains what personal data we collect through the carovnik.si website, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what rights you have.

1. Data controller

2. What data we collect

We collect personal data only when you provide it yourself — through the contact form, or by emailing or calling us. The contact form collects:

  • your name or company name
  • email address
  • phone number (optional)
  • event date (optional)
  • event location or address (optional)
  • type of event
  • whether the children have seen the show before
  • your message

We use Google Analytics to measure visits, but only after you agree to it on the cookie banner. We use no advertising trackers and no social media pixels, we do not profile you, and we make no automated decisions about you. Details are in section 6.

3. Purpose and legal basis

We use the data solely to reply to you, prepare a quote and arrange your event. The legal basis is the performance of a contract, or steps taken at your request before entering into one (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). We do not use your data to send marketing messages.

For visit statistics (Google Analytics) the legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may withdraw it at any time; withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.

4. How long we keep it

Contact form messages reach us by email and are kept for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and, where applicable, deliver the event. Records of completed events that form part of our accounting documentation are kept as required by tax and accounting law. Once data is no longer needed, we delete it.

Visit statistics are retained by Google in line with the data retention setting on our Google Analytics property, after which Google deletes them automatically. They are held as statistics and are not linked to your name or email address.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data and do not pass it to third parties for their own purposes. Data may be accessed, purely in order to provide the service, by:

  • our web hosting provider, which hosts this website and its email (servers in the European Union),
  • the email mailbox provider through which we receive form submissions,
  • Google (Google Ireland Limited) as our processor for Google Analytics — only if you have consented to analytics. Data may in that case also be transferred to the United States; Google relies on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework for such transfers.

6. Cookies

Strictly necessary cookies are always set; analytics cookies are set only if you agree. We use no advertising or tracking cookies. The cookies we use are:

  • pll_language — remembers which language you chose (Slovenian, English or German) so you are not sent to the wrong version on your next visit. It is a functional cookie and does not legally require your consent.
  • cv_consent — stores your analytics choice (accept or decline) so the banner does not ask again on every visit. It lasts 6 months and is likewise strictly necessary.
  • _ga and _ga_LTTGKK9Q7G — Google Analytics cookies that distinguish individual visitors and sessions so we can count visits. They are set only after you consent and last up to two years.

On your first visit a banner appears where you accept or decline analytics. Until you choose, Google Analytics is not loaded at all and no analytics cookie is set. You can change your choice at any time via the Cookie settings link.

We use Google Analytics purely for visit statistics: which pages were viewed, which country and approximate region the visit came from, and what device and browser were used. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. You can also switch analytics off for every website using Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

7. Embedded content from other websites

The December shows section embeds a video from YouTube. The video does not load automatically — the thumbnail is stored on our own server and nothing is requested from YouTube until you click play. This is stated on the play button itself.

When you do click, the video loads via youtube-nocookie.com (YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode). At that point your IP address is sent to Google, which may set its own cookies. That processing is governed by Google’s privacy policy. If you would rather it did not happen, simply do not play the video.

8. Your rights

In relation to your personal data you have the right to:

  • access the data we hold about you,
  • have inaccurate data corrected,
  • have your data erased,
  • restrict processing,
  • object to processing,
  • data portability.

To exercise any of these rights, email drljepan.marko@gmail.com. If you believe your rights have been breached, you may lodge a complaint with the Slovenian Information Commissioner (www.ip-rs.si).

9. Security

The website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Access to received messages is password-protected and limited to the controller.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example if the way the website works changes. The current version is always published on this page along with the date it was last changed.
